What is Global SportsMall®  Realty?​

Global SportsMall® Realty (“GSMR”) is a real estate investment and development company formed in 2019 as a subsidiary of Hall Equities Group, with a mission to create a North American brand in indoor sports training, education, and wellness-oriented venues under one roof in major metropolitan markets across North America.

GSMR is a business that identifies and brings together leading private sports training businesses focused predominantly on the youth market and places them in an environment of new and cutting-edge technologies sourced from around the globe, some of which have only been available to professional athletes in the past.
What is a SportsMall®
A SportsMall® is a premier multi-sport training facility for athletes of all ages and abilities. It gathers high-caliber sports programs in a centrally located facility, offering state-of-the-art equipment and training methods, and ultimately, significant time savings and convenience for busy athletes and their families. Shadelands SportsMall® in Walnut Creek, California, is the company’s first 220,000 square foot indoor SportsMall® which was completed in 2019.

Every GSMR SportsMall® will be “anchored” by a COPA Soccer Training Center, a ±140,000 square foot indoor soccer training facility, and will include other traditional sports tenants such as basketball, volleyball, Taekwondo, hockey, swimming, baseball, and gymnastics training.

In addition to its status as the primary sports training hub in the community, the SportsMall provides a holistic environment for family health, wellness, and bonding with other amenities such as cognitive training, a sports-oriented café, yoga, and other activities for the entire family. To accommodate longer-term events such as tournaments and camps, SportsMall’s will include an extended stay hotel component partnered with affiliate ZMC Hotels.

The target demographic is households with children (3+/Household) and disposable income. Families with multiple children playing multiple sports will be able to conveniently attend a SportsMall as a “one-stop-shop” for athletic training and educational opportunities.

The SportsMall project prototype ranges from 200-300,000 square feet of building area located on 15-20 acres of land with abundant parking (4 stalls per 1000 square feet or greater). Real estate project types range from ground-up development to conversion of existing buildings, such as vacant retail boxes located in regional shopping malls. With the potential to draw 2+ million visits per year, the SportsMall has the ability to transform aging and failing shopping malls back to success.
